Club Night Talks Through my long term involvement in the hobby I have first gained hand experience of the evolution of modern proportional equipment. This has now been compiled into a slide show for presentation to model clubs.
History and Evolution of Radio Control for Model Aircraft" traces from the earliest experiments, through single channel and reed equipment, to modern microcomputer proportional systems. The content is essentially historical, only touching on those technical aspects that are of immediate interest to the average model flyer. Examples of early equipment are available for first hand inspection. Question and answer sessions help to broaden the awareness and understanding of the equipment we use today. This is not a commercial presentation, (my only business interests in model flying are those detailed on this web site). I make no charge for attending venues within reasonable travelling distance of High Wycombe, Bucks, but donations are invited for my adopted charity, the Chiltern and Thames Valley Air Ambulance Trust. If your venue is further afield, contact me to discuss possible arrangements. |
